Non Military Veteran Services

Athens assist with training of your pet to be a service animal  for individuals with a disability that would require a need of a service animal. Athens can train on the following :

  • basic manners
  • Canine Good Citizens  preparation and test
  • public access
  • service skills

Any service dog team that would want to participate in our program would first need to pass an assessment process to see if your pet has the potential for service work. To schedule an assessment please call 510-931-9257.

Service dog handlers must have a disability that requires a service animal, and the service animal must be trained to perform skills that will be an asset in alleviating the handlers disability.

Location: Dog Time Stay and Play located at 2489 Washington Ave. San Leandro, CA 94577
