Intermediate obedience is a follow up to Basic Obedience with a focus on off-leash skills.
With practice and effort, your pet can learn service skills like picking up dropped items, opening and closing cabinets, and other skills to help disabled handlers

Alex is a certified ABC dog trainer with a passion for animals and a long history of discipline. He was a wrestler for 15 years and traveled internationally for competitions, competing at the NCAAs and acquiring dozens of accolades before a season-ending injury to his neck. Even though his freedom to compete was regrettably halted he never stopped challenging himself and made the Dean's Honor List in his last three semesters of college to graduate with his Bachelor's Degree. He has two Amstaffs, a girl named Athena and boy Dean who are the foundation of his work and a constant source of inspiration in improving his and others' understanding of our furry companions. When we accept these dogs into our lives we have also taken responsibility for theirs and he wants to help us all achieve our goals for them.

Aileen is a certified trainer whose goal is to save animals. Our trainer started dog training in 2014 because she believes that training dogs keeps them out of shelters. After becoming a dog trainer, Aileen decided to test the waters in the veterinary field to further her goal. She has worked at a couple of veterinary hospitals and, based on that experience, decided to go to school to study veterinary medicine and become a veterinary behaviorist. Our trainer specializes in new puppy/dog owners, potty/crate training, excessive barking, pulling, and general basic obedience. At home, Aileen has a chihuahua named Deedee and a pit-bull named Sora that she loves working with. She believes that creating a bond and using positive reinforcement as well as having patience with your pet is very important and is key to having a wonderful companion.

Cliff is a qualified experienced dog trainer whose goal is to help people feel better by having a dog companion. I am a navy veteran and did one combat tour of duty with 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marines as a corpsman in 2006. I came out of my military experience with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder issues, and it wasn’t until I was given the chance to have a service dog that my life turned around. I credit my survival to the love I felt from my first service dog, named Django, who sadly passed away in 2018. Since 2018 I worked teaching service skills to veterans and graduated 19 veteran-dog teams during my first year. I specialize in veteran service dog skills, board and train, basic obedience, pulling, new puppy/dog owners, and potty/crate training. At home, Cliff has a 3 year old German Shepherd named Aldo, who also serves as Cliff’s service dog, and a one-year old Boxer, named Schultz. Cliff believes that having structure with your dogs, all while giving positive reinforcement is key to having a behaved best friend.
