Anna studied and graduated from Animal Behavior College (ABC) in 2019, with a focus in Dog Training and Canine Behavior.

Anna worked for 10 years as a CNA in a retirement home when she decided to start her own dog walking business while attending ABC. After she graduated, she started working with owners and their dogs in their home.

Anna has also volunteered at local animal rescues and shelters in assisting in the rehabilitation and re-homing of 2nd chance dogs. Anna has also adopted many rescues from shelters and got them ready to go to new homes. They were potty trained, had manners both in the home and on leash, and she knew the personality and care needs they may need. By doing this she raised the chances that they fit in with their new forever families.

Anna has her own 11-year-old rescue, Scooby, a German Shepard mix that is a CGC graduate and a retired Service Dog. Scooby keeps Anna busy with his continued training and gets all the love he deserves. He is even great at testing out new training techniques on, as long as there are a few treats and some fetch at the end.

Anna knows the enjoyment and love of having a dog as part of your life. Her goal is to make the lives of dogs and their families wonderful: by identifying and redirecting Unwanted Behavior using Positive Reinforcement.

Mitch is a certified professional in animal behavior, psychology, and pet sitting. His journey into dog training began at a young age when his father introduced him to training with their family’s Rottweiler, who was preparing to become a Police K9. This early exposure to structured training sparked a deep fascination with canine behavior, communication, and learning, setting the foundation for his lifelong dedication to working with dogs.

As a certified Camp Counselor at Camp Bow Wow, Mitch gained hands-on experience in managing and understanding dog behavior in a group setting. It was there that he met Danny, an experienced trainer who took Mitch under his wing and became a valuable mentor. Through Danny’s guidance, Mitch honed his skills, developing a keen ability to read canine body language, reinforce positive behaviors, and create a structured yet engaging training environment.

Over time, Mitch discovered his true passion—working with puppies and young dogs. He found immense fulfillment in helping pet owners navigate the challenges of early development, socialization, and foundational training. This led him to begin offering private lessons and leading group classes, where he has successfully helped numerous dogs and their owners build stronger, more positive relationships.

Mitch’s dedication to positive reinforcement training extends beyond his professional work and into his own home. His two beloved dogs—Mighty, a Bichon, and Doughty, a Yorkie—have thrived under his guidance, showcasing the effectiveness of his approach. He is a firm believer in Athens Dog Training’s science-based methods, utilizing proven techniques to modify behavior and shape puppies into well-mannered, confident companions. With a genuine passion for canine learning and a commitment to ethical training practices, Mitch continues to make a meaningful impact in the lives of both dogs and their families.
